Enhancing Safety in Hospitality: Complimentary Narcan Kits & Training for FRLA Members
The Robin Foundation is committed to preventing overdose fatalities and promoting safety within the hospitality industry in Broward County. Since 2021, the foundation has been a leader in distributing naloxone (Narcan), a life-saving medication that can reverse opioid overdoses. Thanks to partnerships with the Florida Department of Health and the Florida Department of Children & Family Services, The Robin Foundation offers complimentary Narcan kits and staff training to all FRLA members.
As we approach peak travel seasons, preparedness is key. Their comprehensive training ensures employees know how to respond swiftly and effectively in overdose situations, reinforcing a safer environment for both staff and guests. With overdose fatalities declining in Broward County, continued prevention efforts are vital. FRLA members are encouraged to take advantage of this invaluable resource and join the initiative to foster a well-equipped and protected hospitality community.
